Thanks to an engineer buddy – who found it in a minute – the typical “Copy Run Start” used to save configs doesn’t seem to persist through most reboots – and never through a power cycle.
At least on the two switches I have – you can “save” your configs until the cows come home with “Copy Run Start” – and all of your hard work will be gone… Unless – you use “copy system:running-config nvram:startup-config”
I tend to use them both – just to be sure. But I’m putting this hear to “remember” for me – as I forget sometimes that I have to do that…
